PRIVACY POLICY
Transpersonal Psychotherapy & Counselling Australia is dedicated to providing superior quality services to you. The following privacy policy outlines our ongoing commitment to you and how we handle your Personal Information. We have decided to adopt the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) outlined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). These principles govern our actions in collecting, utilizing, disclosing, storing, safeguarding, and disposing of your Personal Information. Confidentiality
Privacy is a matter we take very seriously. We commit to keep your personal information confidential and will not disclose any information about you to anyone without your consent, except in extraordinary circumstances. We are authorized to disclose information subject to professional board of ethics and responsibilities, including in the following cases:
If there is a perceived risk to your own safety or another person’s safety
If there is a legal obligation to do so
Should such an exceptional circumstance arise, we will try utmost to communicate with you beforehand.
If you are a client of ours and have any concerns or inquiries about confidentiality, please feel free to speak with your current therapist on our team.
Personal Information Security
We store your Personal Information in such a manner that safeguards it against abuse, misuse, unauthorized access, and disclosure. We will take rational precautions to permanently delete or de-identify your Personal Information if it is no longer required for your therapy purposes. But, to a great extent, the majority of Personal Information is stored in our client files, which will be kept by us for seven years.
Third Parties
If practical to do so, we will receive your Personal Information specifically from you. However, in particular circumstances, third parties may impart us with information (such as your referring doctor). In such cases, we will take necessary steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.
Fees
The fees that we charge are determined in accordance with each individual practitioner’s discretion. Fees are discussed before any client appointment is made and each practitioner will inform you of their particular fee for service.
Payment Options
Each individual practitioner directs their own preferred payment options. Please discuss your payment options with the practitioner you are seeing.
Cancellations
A cancellation fee is imposed for cancellations made 48 hours or less before a planned session. Please discuss this with your individual practitioner if necessary.
Social media policy
We do not accept friend requests from clients, and we adhere to the strict professional boundaries stated by our professional ethics and professional standards.
Ethical Standards
Adhering to clinical, transpersonal professional and ethical standards within our therapy practice is of utmost importance to us. We are committed to continual training and professional growth, regular supervision, and our own personal therapy and self-reflection.

Australia Psychotherapy & Counselling Australia holds the copyright to the full content of this Website. You must not use or replicate our copyright material including any and all images, articles, website written content. Specifically, you must not use or replicate our copyright material in any manner for personal or commercial purposes unless expressly agreed to in which case, we will require you to sign a License Agreement.
